Golden is a scenic foothills city located about 15 miles west of Denver along Clear Creek. Sitting at an elevation of roughly 5,784 feet, it’s nestled between Lookout Mountain, the Table Mountains, and the Rocky Mountain Front Range. The city maintains 19 parks and about 42 miles of paved trails, and its river corridor includes the Clear Creek Whitewater Park—popular for kayaking, tubing, and recreation. Golden is also home to the Colorado School of Mines and the headquarters of Coors Brewing Company.
